After Sandy Hook, when the USian people decided to purchase more guns after some white male decided to murder a class full of kindergarten kids is when I have lost all sympathy for the people of the USA when it comes to gun violence. When you value owning assault rifles over the right of kindergarten kids to not be murdered in their own school then may you reap what you sow.
The fact that gun sales have spiked after every mass shooting since then has only confirmed my belief that USians do not need the world’s sympathies for their gun problems. They clearly either believe that gun ownership is the solution to mass shootings or more likely that they are scared of gun regulations coming in after one of these mass shootings. Either position is not pitiable.
