“Women aren’t hated for being feminine, femininity is forced on us because we are hated. we don’t naturally apply make up, wear constricting clothing, shave our natural body hair and stay quiet even when we are upset with something. we are conditioned to do this because women are supposed to take up as little space as possible and erase traces of our growth both physically and mentally. women who refuse to perform femininity demand their space and they demand to be heard. they cannot be neutral in a highly gendered society; they are punished for not conforming.”
Femininity literally is weakness forced upon us. Being quiet, serving and submissive is not anything that can be reformed into some good, new kind of gender. We literally modify our bodies. We are trained to serve and be available. We are trained to hate ourselves and not strive too far, lest our oppressors may be displeased.
Femininity is the socialization of the oppressed class.

Femininity is a word I loathe. Conform to standards or else. Not helped by the trans (MtoF) lobby appropriating it as Their. Very own. Word. And defining what femininity is. Gee thanks.
Gender. Don’t you just love it?

Gender ranks up there with nuclear waste, paper cuts whilst cutting lemons and cancer on my list of poopy things I do not like.

There are things we can do something about, things we can do less about, and some things we can do stuff all about. Cancer is one of those vague ones. Paper cuts/lemons aren’t the end of the world. Nuclear waste could be. I would add religion and it’s insidious iniquitous effect on women and buying animals when there are perfectly good ones at rescue shelters. We can do something about religion, gender, and adopt don’t buy because we can speak out about those issues. Even if we might sound like broken records.
The problem right now is that the transgender movement is doing a significant disservice to women by carping on about gender stereotypes. And reinforcing them. Every. Single. Day. Exactly what women do not need. We should be looking at suppoting homosexuals, bisexuals and GNC people, not turning everyone who wants to wear a frilly frock into a surgical mutation that attemps to pass as a biological woman.
Whereupon I will shut up and wait for the TERF alert misogynist brigade to attack.
