The notion we have a fair playing field, a balance, whatever you’d like to call it is quite patently false. We have not all just fallen out of some sort of Rawlsian simulator into a just society. Injustice and anti-egalitarian ideals are normative in society, they are the water we swim in, the air we breathe. Otherwise interactions like the below just wouldn’t happen.

I’m sorry. It was really really so inappropriate of her to try and touch him. What on earth was she thinking? Commenting about appearance and touching someone. Appalling.

He was saving her from a really gross, greasy hand afterwards. What did he do, sleep in those clothes? And look at that mustache. The guy looks like he hasn’t showered for days.
And besides, she likes it. Look at how she’s smiling beforehand, even when she sees him coming.
Totally kidding. You don’t touch people, period, and people who think you can automatically invade someone’s space deserve to get a fist in their face to show to remind them that it’s not true. This guy’s a creep.

What an invasive and disrespectful cad. Amazing how what was good for the goose wasn’t good for the gander. If you don’t like other people touching you don’t touch them. Simple as that.

Good on the female host for giving him a taste of his own medicine. Maybe next time he’ll think twice before touching someone.
