Baby high heels. It is an actual phenomena. Hard to have words for this one other than choked rage sputtering sounds.

It’s starting younger and younger. It’s totally disgusting to see six-year olds wearing “sexy” costumes and donning full-blown butter-knife makeup complete with fake eyelashes and big hair for pageants and dance competitions.
And who could forget this?

I’m appalled at this sort of blatant sexualization that is being socialized/sold to women in our so called civilized societies. Stuff like this is anxiety-nightmare fuel for girls and women.
It just annoys the heck out of me when I’m told to relax because our society is all about the egalitarianism (unicorns!, lollipops!); men and women are treated the same (or my personal favourite: But men are objectified too!) when such obvious differentiation exists. :/

As a society, we should be way beyond this, but were not. I’m looking at a baby girl on a chaise lounge wearing high heels, fitted by the babies MOTHER, who when she went looking for high heels for her baby, couldn’t find any so she started her own company, Pee Wee Pumps. I guess she doesn’t mind pedophiles salivating over this picture of her baby. She seems quite prepared to sacrifice her daughter for her neurotic baby fashion and baby sexualization ideas. What really is her point???

Agreed. Unfortunately, we are not. It is important to note example like this precisely because how trenchant they are because often the message feminists tend to get is that their job is done, and everything is fantastic. Clearly, it isn’t.
Cultural transmission of oppressive patriarchal norms is a function of the family. Can we blame mothers for teaching their children these toxic and destructive practices? I don’t think so because these harmful practices are necessary for survival and flourishing in patriarchal society. That’s the nasty bit of patriarchy – the self – replication of repressive notions which makes it so darn nasty.
Well said. Beauty rituals and ‘fashion’ are largely produced and performed for the consumption of dudes.
This just seems to be the tip of spear as far as the rampant sexualization of girls and women are concerned. A high-light, so to speak.
We can’t speak for her, but only point to a society that makes physical beauty and attractiveness (sexual and otherwise) the number one priority for women.

I saved a bunch of these tweets for a post as well. It’s disgusting how gender starts immediately for girls.

That is absolutely sick and disgusting. I thought those kid pageants were bad enough. Some parents don’t deserve kids, let alone oxygen to their clearly already oxygen-starved brains.
Glad clips like this are out there to show the absurdity of it all:
