I rarely watch good movies. I spend my screen time on the blog, and with my current Diablo 3 addiction. Last night however, I did get the the opportunity to watch “Her”, a movie about a dude whose marriage is all but dissolved finding a new companion. The twist is that his new companion is an operating system that is sentient and programmed to learn.
It was a emotive, touching film that I would highly recommend everyone go see.

I’ve been trying to get there, I swear. I can’t get past the ads — they seem so syrupy I just itch for pancakes. And then, the whole unrequited love trope always annoys me anyhow. But what do I know, anyhow? I’m just turning into a bitter pissed off old woman who wants to throw books at people who refuse to read enough of them!

The Arbourist
@Syrbal
It is kinda dopey, but there is enough going to give it some real emotional gravitas. You could always wait till it hit the cheap theatres.. :)
Turning into?? :)

The Intransigent One
Without giving any spoilers… let’s just say the ending is not what you might expect, and really the middle isn’t either. I was uncertain about it too, but I’m really glad I watched it.
