One video, sixteen minutes equals deep insight into how American society runs. (Hint: Most likely not for your benefit.)
I grow tired of hearing arch-conservatives rail on about the evils of regulation and how it stifles industry. People die because of deregulation and lax standards – but somehow the profit motive trumps all that human welfare shit, almost every time.

For having lived 9 years in the USA, I have found that Canadians “say” how badly “amuricans” live… but the actions belie the words. The main difference I found between Canada and the USA is that Canada has an insufficient population (for our size) to support capitalism at all, so all that we consume is from private monopolies which our minion >godsafe and acultural< country for Big Brother. I miss the USA, even after 5 years back.

I’m not sure what you mean by your statement. I pick on the US precisely because it has done so much *good* for people.
Unions, regulations, welfare state light, these are all achievements to be lauded.
Unfortunately, the American Power elite is replicating the early 20th century in terms of how the US is run. It is making it bad for a lot of people when it doesn’t necessarily have to be that way.
The change of course from “we” to “me” is problematic for the stability and prosperity of society.
