“When I asked male interview subjects what they would like to do in bed, “ejaculation on a woman’s face” was most often at the top of their lists. But when I asked them what the attraction of this act was and whether it meant anything, their initial response was puzzlement. They had never given it much thought. With time for reflection, however, most came up with answers very similar to those of the pornographers I interviewed: it is about controlling women, doing something disgusting to them. It’s like spitting or urinating on them. Thus something unsettling about gender relationships mediated by pornography is revealed: on-screen male domination is sugar-coated — portrayed as causing women ecstasy — which in turn arouses further desire on the part of the male viewers: the desire to experience the pleasure derived from control and aggression.
And deep down, these viewers understand it. “The second you have an orgasm and that passion sinks out of your body, and you’re still watching the movie, you start to really see what’s going on,” one male college student said. “This is not sexy. This is not sex. This is not how I want to experience sex.

Notes To Ponder
Ah yes – but the woman who understands this is the one with the power :)

I wish the author had also surveyed gay men and asked them why they like to cum on each other’s faces.

I’m not sure what you mean NtP. A woman can be aware of her position in society, but past the knowledge is half the battle bit, how would this empower women?

Sounds to me as if NTP thinks a woman knowing men want to come on her face could somehow manipulate men thereby? That isn’t power….that is accepting the lower tier of existence and working “with” it.

Perhaps the old “women are empowerful because they sexy” idea? I’m inclined to wait for more information though.

Had to think about this one. I think it all started more as a novelty with Peter North who could deliver outrageously huge loads and the directors focused on that. That’s since translated to the civilian bedroom but i don’t see it as inherently bad. I can certainly see where it can be abused but a blowie as a final act is fairy typical and as many women don’t really go for a mouthful of crap (understandably) the guy “finishes off” so to speak.

Consider then the effect of pornography on people’s lives when it portrays women as sex-crazy nymphomaniacs whose sexual nature is tied to a masochistic impulse that only the sadistic ‘peen can satisfy.
Not exactly the most positive of roles for a woman to have. Consider also the idea that porn ruins men as far as genuine relationships are concerned, given the unreality that they are conditioned to expect in the sexual context.

I’m not denying that. It’s ruinous and sets up an unrealistic, negative role plays for both parties. I just wouldn’t call it “all” bad. Of course, the disclaimer that must accompany this statement is huge, and any portrayal of women as mindless/responsive sex toys is inherently wrong.
I just saw yesterday that the Red Cross is asking video game designers to include a scoring measure of war crimes committed by the player. Killing civilians = Bad = loose points.
