Lilith, the resident evilkitty, is normally all black. Not after her ecstatic rolling on the sun-warmed, and very dusty, pavement.

My son’s two cats are not allowed outdoors…between cars and the Great Horned Owls their survival time would be measured in hours. But they celebrate spring by sitting on window ledges chittering chins a-tremble as they birdwatch!

The Intransigent One
We were really reluctant to let Lilith out. For the first 12 years of her life, it was a relentless and literally bloody battle to keep her indoors. Last summer, she scratched and bit me so badly that the next time she escaped (half an hour later, a guest let her out) I was like, fuck you, go die in traffic if you must, I’m not going to lose an eye to you. She didn’t head straight for the busy street as I’d feared, and she came back in a few hours, unscathed.
Since then, she’s had outside privileges, and, maybe not coincidentally, she’s about 75% less evil – that was the last time she made me bleed, for example. Though she’s still very hissy.
But then, we don’t have great horned owls here, or I’d be more concerned.

Darla
I get worried there is this cat and whenever I am driving I almost run it over. It just jumps out on the road.
