I heard the mosquitoes have been absolutely horrible in Edmonton this season, as the article confirms. I imagine they have to be really bad around the river valley? My friend was working on a roof for what he thought was a 5 min job that ended up being 20 minutes that he couldn’t tear away from, and he said he had dozens of bites on his back and neck through his shirt.
Anything that deters/gets rid of those pesky suckers, I’m all for! You should invest in it rather than just buy one. ;)

Quite entertaining . It is not a very efficient way to kill insects
Right now in Pennsylvania, flies are more of a problem . I am trying a fly trap which consists of a plastic bag filled with water, hanging from a plastic holder that allows the insects in and won’t let them out . It has an attractant in a tube that you break in the water .
It’s amazing how many flies it has caught . A lot fewer get in to the house .

A back home remedy was just a bit of honey or sugar water in a coke bottle. Worked like a charm for flies and wasps.

Apparently, we are getting closer to the mean amount of mosquitoes as we have had a few dry years in a row. I’m not a fan in any case.
